From Paros to Anti-Paros. It's all good!

This is Super Jenny and I in a little fishing village on Paros-

The Peterson 4 on a wall overlooking another little village I can't remember the name of-

We took the car ferry to Anti-Paros....an island next to Paros. 

and found something to feed.....yea!

The sunset was to die for-

I'v easily gained 10 pounds but it is so worth it. I may need a seat belt extender for the plane ride home!

Everywhere I look is something to feed. I may never come home.

Orange?

I can think of a better name for this place. No, they don't specialize in orange anything. I would have gone for "Lavender Lounge" myself.

I woke up Thursday morning to cows in the field next door to Paul and Jenny.  They didn't have very much in the way of green to eat. There was clover all over our yard and a very low rock wall keeping the cows in.....and me out! You do the math.

Greece in November-

We arrived in Paros at 10:30am to a very excited Astin family. We hopped in our cars and went straight for a Greek lunch. What's a girl to do? Then it was off to the sea- it was actually hot out!

We made it to Greece and may never come home! The adventure of getting here was half the fun. We discovered that Paris has kick ass bathrooms in their airport! I really enjoyed the sign on the moving walkway-keep ahold of you wiggly tots!

Jack (Spot) goes home!

Thank you to everybody who passed the word around. Jack is so happy in his new home. Yea!

Jack is ready to go home!

Hi all. 

The little kitten we had been calling Spot is now Jack. As in "Jack in the box". 

He is so funny the way he hides in things and then "pops" out to get whatever happens to be going by....kids, dogs, me.

He is fully recovered and has a clean bill of health. He is ready to go home, he just needs a home to go to.

He is really sweet, loves the dogs and sleeps on our heads. He is really cuddly at night and spunky during the day.

"Tis the season for finding kittens......

Will someone please buy me a pair of blinders?

Emily was in the backyard feeding the chicken and bunnies and she heard a"Meow".

She called me back and I heard it too.

I ran around the block and found a sad, sickly little kitten trying to get under a building.

Luckily, the owner of the business came out and helped me corral the little guy.

Not a pretty sight as I happened to be wearing a dress at the time.

The poor thing was covered in fleas and his eyes were crusted over in green goo.

He could hardly see and was so skinny.

Back to Bixby Animal Clinic (I have a cot there now)

As usual, Dr. A and staff were so kind and helpful.

Anyway, here's the scoop:

He is a boy, six weeks old weighing in at 1 pound 3 ounces.

He has an eye infection and has started on antibiotics. 

He should be right as rain in a week.

All he needs is a home- 

Here he is.....just sure we are going to kill him!

After a few hours, he settled down....just a bit. Look at all of those fleas, yuck!

Post bath. Feeling better already.

Junebug Jones goes home!

June Bug's new family consists of Jennifer and Emily, Nathan, a yellow (13) year old Lab/ Shepard and Crash (aka Schmiegel) a 2 year old, white, "deaf as a post" cat.  Everyone is a rescue.  Nathan from the pound in Venice, Crash from the Westside Animal Shelter in SM.  Everyone at their house seems to have special needs so I think June Bug will fit right in.
